Love this!

People often ask me what made me open a baby store? I worked at one part time in between kids and loved it! When it was time to think about getting a job again after my youngest was a year old I thought I would open my own store but do it differently. There wasn't anything at the time that provided modern furniture, bedding, art , decor etc.....Really what I love about doing this is being able to ...share experiences with expectant parents and give my advice on what works and what doesn't depending on your particular lifestyle. I carry products that I believe are he best, I don't carry a million different products of the same kind...I try to keep it simple and offer the products that work.
Some people think that MODERN means EXPENSIVE! This is so far from the truth as I carry Cribs that range from $495 up to and above $4500. All the little stuff in between is very comparable to what is on the mass market.
I give dynamite customer service, I genuinely care about my customers and I am honest to a fault. I'm not going to make millions or even thousands for that matter owning my own business but the fulfillment I get everytime a customer walks in and I am able to help them with something they may not have already known is worth every minute I spend here.
Do I miss my own kids.....YES..... but i also want to show them that life isn't easy and it takes hard work and dedication to make it in this world!

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY STORK!

I would like to take a minute to Thank each and every single customer that has passed through the doors here at Stork in the last year! I have had the pleasure of serving you the best way that I can. My customers mean the world to me and I have enjoyed such great conversations along the way. It has touched my heart so deeply to have been able to experience the excitement of expecting a new baby with parents and grandparents alike and then to actually meet the precious offspring!!!!!! What a total thrill. I look so forward so the year ahead and making this experience even better as the year goes by.

I have been so blessed to be able to do what I do with 2 small children of my Own. I have the most amazing in-laws on the planet. They live for us and our children and take care of them everyday so my husband and I can work hard to provide a good life for them. Words cannot come close to expressing my extreme gratitude for them.

All of the support and help we have gotten from our family and friends has been truly humbling. I love you all. I thank my brother John for all of his wisdom, support and help. You are an inspiration to me and I can only hope that one day I will be able to show you how thankful I am to you for everything you have done for me.

So cheers to the year ahead! Let's make it even better then the last!

Family Day!

I thank everyone who made it down to the Bauer Marketplace over the weekend. We had a great Ice sculpture of a Goalie. There was Face painting in the hallway outside the store that tons of children enjoyed.
I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday Monday as much as I did. We stayed at home and played with the kids all day!!! Pillow fights galore. lololol. So much fun.
Today has already been a crazy day with orders pouring in and the phone ringing off the hook. I also had the pleasure of meeting with my Bugaboo Rep who informed me that at the moment I am the only retailer for all of Kitchener and Waterloo!!!!!!!!
